When is the best time to start?

The best time to start is as soon as possible!

Acupuncture is an all-natural medicine and when we are working with the body and doing things naturally it takes time.

In our initial consultation we will set expectations with you based on your individual situation.

It can take some time to make significant changes in the body that create long lasting results. The sooner we can get you started on your fertility journey the sooner you will grow your family.

Is there are an average time acupuncture for fertility takes?

Ideally if you want to conceive naturally, we need a minimum of 3 months for treatment but ideally 6 months to be able to help regulate your cycle or increase your uterine lining. Depending on the complexity of your case it can range from 3-9 months.

If you are already working with a fertility clinic we still recommend a minimum of 3 months. We will help to create your plan around IUI’s or IVF and embryo transfers.

Can acupuncture help with inducing labor?

Yes it can!

After patients have conceived with our fertility treatment plan, we see them throughout their pregnancy, but more often at week 36 and 37 to help start getting the body ready for labor.

By having an acupuncture appointment weekly we help to soften the cervix and help you with stress and anxiety and any lower back pain you might be experiencing leading up to delivery.

  • Before I came to see Heather at Kirkland Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, I was having a hard time getting pregnant with my second child. My husband and I had tried everything for over a year with no luck, so it was obviously a very devastating time in our lives.
